WASHINGTON — House Select Climate Committee Ranking Member Garret Graves (R-La.) made the following statement after today’s hearing:

“As we move in the direction of a cleaner energy portfolio, a goal all of us share, we must keep unleashing the affordable innovation that made us the world leader in reducing emissions — and not play into China’s hands. We can’t let America become dependent upon China for the critical minerals needed for renewable energy projects. But investing in resiliency and streamlining regulatory structures, such as my BUILDER Act does with NEPA, will help us adapt to climate change’s effects and mitigate global emissions.”
